Bipartisan Infrastructure Law: Transportation Funding Webinar

Senator Baldwin, Wisconsin Department of Transportation Secretary Craig Thompson and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Implementation Director Katie Thomson from the U.S. Department of Transportation joined together on February 28, 2022 to present an informative webinar on transportation funding opportunities for local governments, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, Tribes, and other public entities.

Senator Baldwin supported the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act that was signed into law in 2021, legislation that:

  • Delivers a historic investment in our state’s transportation infrastructure
  • Provides new funding opportunities for local governments, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, Tribes, and other public entities
  • Creates good paying jobs and puts Wisconsin to work fixing our roads and bridges, rebuilding our water infrastructure, and expanding access to affordable and reliable high speed broadband for Wisconsin families, students, small businesses, and farmers
