Sojourner Family Peace Center

Project Description: Funding to increase the capacity of the Sojourner Family Peace Center to assist domestic violence survivors in need of restraining orders and offset the cost of providing shelter for survivors of domestic violence. Sojourner Family Peace Center provides crisis response and emergency shelter, systems advocacy, and healing services to address the immediate violence in survivors’ lives.

Project Description: Funding to construct and implement a scalable, operational water quality information service based on satellite earth observations that will provide timely water quality monitoring information, the development of which will fulfill local needs such as harmful algal bloom alerts, provide informational needs for lake management, support the safety of drinking water supplies and help fulfill reporting requirements of the Clean Water Act on the quality of all surface waters across the state.

Project Description: Funding for a Teen Program Center in Eau Claire to advance academic success, healthy lifestyles including mental health, good character and citizenship, and workforce development.

The construction of a modern greenhouse system utilizing solar radiation to help separate water from the sludge will improve the quality of bio-product to a Class A biosolid, the first-of-its-kind innovation in the State of Wisconsin. The annual need for the use of fossil fuels in the existing drying system (reliant on the use of natural gas) will be dramatically reduced, and the overall volume and mass of biosolids created that need to be removed from the system will be reduced as well.

Project Description: Funding to address three sewer issues in Viroqua, including realignment of a primary mainline sewer that currently lays below an old landfill, elimination of an antiquated lift station by sewer redesign, and a sewer extension. The project supports current and future commercial, industrial, and residential development as well as protects the environment.

Project Description: Funding to support the city’s transition from a groundwater to a surface water supply. The funding will go towards an intense program to test and monitor the water quality in the distribution system; a water quality model for our distribution system that will recommend system improvement necessary to ensure water quality; and will provide guidance on preparation of the system to receive the new water supply.

Rib Mountain Sanitary District

Project Description: Funding for construction of a water treatment plant to obtain safe drinking water by removing PFAS, present in municipal supply wells.

Project Description: Funding to restore and maintain wildlife and plant habitat, remove invasive species, stabilize banks along the ravine systems of the property, and provide outdoor leisure and recreation opportunities in the St. Croix River Valley region.

Project Description: Funding to support a new water utility system due to PFAS contamination in private drinking water wells.

Project Description: Funding to support installation of a new water line to provide residents living with PFAS contamination safe drinking water.

Project Description: Funding to construct a new water tower for the Village of New Glarus.
