Baldwin and Johnson Congratulate Milwaukee Bucks With “Bucks in Six” Senate Resolution

The Bucks Win First NBA Championship in 50 years

Washington, D.C. – Following the Milwaukee Bucks victory in the NBA finals, Senators Tammy Baldwin and Ron Johnson filed a resolution celebrating the new NBA Champions.

“The Bucks are hardworking, humble, and resilient just like the people of Milwaukee and our entire state,” said Senator Baldwin. “They have brought such pride and happiness to so many with their accomplishment that I want to make sure it is recognized.”

“Whereas the fans in the Deer District showed up, game after game, to cheer on the Bucks in large numbers outside Fiserv Forum: Now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the Senate—congratulates the Milwaukee Bucks, and the loyal fans of the Bucks, on winning the 2021 National Basketball Association championship; recognizes the historic achievement of the entire Bucks organization, including the players, coaches, and staff, for a victorious season,” the Senate resolution read in part.
