As of this week, more than one million PACT Act-related claims have been granted for veterans
MADISON, WI – Today, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin met with local veterans, their survivors, and advocates to discuss her efforts to increase health care and disability benefits for veterans who have been harmed by toxic exposure while serving in the military.
“Our veterans served us and it’s our job to serve them when they come back home. Today was another great opportunity to hear about all the difference our PACT Act is making for our veterans, delivering them the care and benefits they earned,” said Senator Baldwin.
Veterans are now eligible for these benefits because of the Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act of 2022 that Senator Baldwin helped pass into law. As of this week, more than one million PACT Act-related claims have been granted and nearly 17,000 veterans in Wisconsin are now receiving benefits.
