Washington D.C. – U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin made the following statement regarding President Obama’s visit to GE in Waukesha Thursday.
“The President came to our state today to highlight our strong Wisconsin work ethic and the need to give everyone a fair shot at getting ahead. I believe we can create stronger economic growth and expand opportunity for all by investing in job driven training programs, workforce readiness and strengthening our advanced manufacturing economy. So I applaud the President for shining a spotlight on growing our Made in Wisconsin economy and focusing on the need to empower workers with the skills they need for in-demand jobs.”
