WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin announced that she has named Kelly Westlund as her new Northwest Regional Representative.
Westlund, who lives in Ashland, brings public service experience to the position having served as City Councilwoman from 2011-2014. Prior to her time working for the City of Ashland, Westlund owned and operated a small business, and worked in the non-profit sector.
“I share Senator Baldwin’s strong commitment to public service and support for Wisconsin’s northwest communities,” Westlund said. “I look forward to providing the people of Northwest Wisconsin with the high-quality constituent services that they deserve.”
Westlund served as the Executive Director at the Alliance for Sustainability, a grassroots nonprofit organization focused on building coalitions to support sustainable communities in the greater Chequamegon Bay area. A graduate of Northland College, Westlund taught Sustainable Community Development as an adjunct professor at the school in 2011.
