Washington D.C. – U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin released the following statement today on President Obama’s announcement regarding net neutrality.
“Net neutrality is a principle that is at the heart of an open, accessible and free Internet. We cannot allow Internet service providers to create an uneven playing field in the online marketplace for services and ideas. We also must ensure that the Internet does not become a two-tiered system, with fast lanes for some and slow lanes for others. That is why I support President Obama’s call for the FCC to implement strong and sustainable open internet rules that protect net neutrality using Title II authority with appropriate forbearance.”
